Are there any printing requirements?
A direct-drive extruder for 85A and 90A; 95A and above print on most Bowden machines at reduced speed. Dry the spool at 55 °C for 4 hours if it has been open more than a few days.
What is the difference between 85A, 90A, 95A, 98A and 72D?
Shore hardness. 85A is the softest (running-shoe sole), 95A is the all-rounder (cart wheel), 98A is firm (tyre tread) and 72D is hard and abrasion-resistant (hard hat). Softer grades print slower and need direct drive.
How strong is TPU?
Tensile strength is 30 MPa across the ladder; what changes is stiffness and elongation, from over 1100 % at 85A to over 700 % at 72D.
Will the spools work in an AMS?
Only 72D. Bambu Lab lists TPU below 55D as unsupported in the AMS feed path, so print 85A–98A from the external holder.
