ASA or ABS?
Compare the intended environment, machine limits and available test evidence. ASA may be a candidate for outdoor evaluation, but neither family name establishes performance or a guaranteed life.
Do I need an enclosure for ASA?
Review manufacturer enclosure guidance and evaluate warping on a representative part. Geometry, airflow and thermal gradients matter; this grade has no published enclosure validation.
What temperature does ASA print at?
The catalog starting ranges are provisional: 250–270 °C nozzle and 90–110 °C bed. Verify a grade-specific TDS and the actual machine limits before heating or importing starting values.
Will the spools work in a Bambu Lab AMS?
Spool dimensions fit, but material feeding differs: the 1 kg spool is 200 mm × 65 mm with a 54 mm hub, inside the AMS window. Flexible TPU goes on the external spool holder, except 72D on an A1 or A1 mini, whose AMS lite lists 55D and harder as usable.
Where are the TDS and slicer profiles?
The settings hub lists generated starting files, manual worksheets and withdrawn mappings by material and format. The evidence register identifies source documents; a batch TDS is available only if confirmed through a request.
