AMS lite only. The AMS lite on an A1 or A1 mini lists 55D and harder as usable, so 72D goes in. On the full-size AMS, Bambu advises against flexible material generally: use the external holder.

Features

Hard TPU: abrasion resistance with toughness

High hardness and outstanding wear resistance combined with excellent toughness and resilience. Built for durable functional and protective parts that take a beating.

Typical catalog values are not finished-part design allowables. Test method, conditioning, specimen orientation and batch acceptance limits require confirmation. Source and evidence status.

Frequently asked questions

Is 72D still flexible?
Geometry matters: compare a thin and a thick sample before selecting it for a flexible application. No controlled abrasion comparison against PLA, PETG or nylon is published.
Does 72D work in an AMS?
In the AMS lite on an A1 or A1 mini, yes: Bambu lists "77D, 55D, or higher hardness" as usable there. On the full-size AMS its guidance is to avoid flexible material altogether, so use the external spool holder.
Do I need to dry it before printing?
Popping and stringing can have several causes. Check moisture and print conditions separately. The listed drying values are supplier suggestions, not verified endpoints; confirm the grade, spool and dryer limits before heating. See the drying guide for a controlled workflow.
